If you install ( upgrade ) Windows 10 on the same drive where an existing Windows installation , the setup program will create a folder named Windows.old in the root drive. This folder contains a complete copy of the installation of Windows 8 or Windows 7 before, including a boot manager and installed applications . This is especially useful if you plan to remove Windows installed today and return to Windows before. It can also be useful if you forgot to transfer some files or settings for new installations . However , if you've completed the migration or upgrade , then Windows.old just be garbage spend your disk space . 1. Press Win + R keyboard keys simultaneously and then typing the following command
   Cleanmgr

Tips:
