How To Delete Windows.old Folder Windows 10

May be among the readers who are already upgrading from Windows 7 or Windows 8 to Windows 10 ( if you want to upgrade silhakan read the article : How to Upgrade Windows 7 and Windows 8 to Windows 10 ) . If you install ( upgrade ) Windows 10 on the same drive where an existing Windows installation , the setup program will create a folder named Windows.old in the root drive. This folder contains a complete copy of the installation of Windows 8 or Windows 7 before, including a boot manager and installed applications . This is especially useful if you plan to remove Windows installed today and return to Windows before. It can also be useful if you forgot to transfer some files or settings for new installations . However , if you've completed the migration or upgrade , then Windows.old just be garbage spend your disk space . Here is how to remove the Windows.old folder using the OS built-in tool from Explorer .

1. Press Win + R keyboard keys simultaneously and then typing the following command

   Cleanmgr

2. Drive selection window will appear . Select C : ( any drive where Windows is installed , usually C :) and click OK .

3. Once the examination is complete click the Clean up system files .

4. The inspection process will run once again . Once completed you can see the size of            the Previous Windows installation ( s ) or if you take a look in the root folder called Windows.old . The amount is quite large , in this example is 9.12 GB . Click the OK button to do the cleaning

Tips:

In addition to using the " cleanmgr " You can also do it through Windows Explorer . Right-click the C: drive and select Properties , then you will find step no.3 and 4 .
You can of course also delete the folder C : \ Windows. old manually , but the application Disk Cleanup will remove the NTFS permissions automatically and all the files can not 
be accessed from your user account. In the case of manual removal , you will need to resolve their own access rights , otherwise you will not be able to delete the folder

How to Enable Aero Lite Theme Windows 10

I was quite satisfied with the default theme Windows 10 and maybe you , too . Did you know that there is still a theme (theme ) a hidden secret ? Same with Windows 8 , the latest OS Windows 10 ( including build 9926 ) also has a hidden themes namely Aero Lite . You can enable it by making a few changes to the original theme " aero " with Notepad . Applying Aero Lite theme will change the look of the Windows taskbar and also an Explorer window .

Later after applying the theme Aero Lite , the taskbar will be opaque , window frames ( window ) will have a clearer border while the other views on the overall OS remains the same . You're curious to try the Lite Aero theme in Windows 10 ? Here are the steps to enable the Aero theme Lite on Windows 10 ( this tutorial is based on Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926 ) :

1. Open the following folder in File Explorer :

 

   C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

2. Copy the file to the Desktop Aero.theme .

3. Rename the file becomes AeroLite.theme .

4. Run Notepad and drag files AeroLite.theme into the Notepad window that

    you have open .

5. Change the following things :

- In section [ Theme]

Change this line of code

[Theme]

; Windows - IDS_THEME_DISPLAYNAME_AERO

DisplayName=@%SystemRoot%\System32\themeui.dll,-2013

SetLogonBackground=0

Into

[Theme]

Displayname=Aero Lite

How Resetting or Deleting a BIOS or CMOS Password

BIOS password is added to further secure the computer . With our password can prevent others set the BIOS or even prevent the computer from booting . Although rare or very few people do this . Complete List to Sign BIOS Keyboard Keys

This article is made to complement our article on how to install or re-install, for example: how to install Windows 8.1. One of the important steps (although not necessarily) to install Windows is accessing the BIOS (which stands for Basic Input Output System) or enter the BIOS environment. The goal is to choose the media that will be used to boot.

One of the keys on the keyboard are used to access the BIOS, for example F2. Different BIOS chip suppliers usually use different keyboard keys to enter the BIOS.

Sign BIOS is not difficult. How to enter BIOS is generally the same, namely to press the F2 key on the keyboard when the computer is just lit up. Usually the tone will sound, beep though not always.
