The information below is a summary of the keyboard buttons
that can be used to access or enter the BIOS from all major suppliers BIOS chip
and computer manufacturers that use it.
This article is made to complement our article on how to
install or re-install, for example: how to install Windows 8.1. One of the
important steps (although not necessarily) to install Windows is accessing the
BIOS (which stands for Basic Input Output System) or enter the BIOS
environment. The goal is to choose the media that will be used to boot.
One of the keys on the keyboard are used to access the BIOS,
for example F2. Different BIOS chip suppliers usually use different keyboard
keys to enter the BIOS.
Sign BIOS is not difficult. How to enter BIOS is generally
the same, namely to press the F2 key on the keyboard when the computer is just
lit up. Usually the tone will sound, beep though not always. So, when the
computer is booting, BIOS supplier will be displayed. If an OEM (Original
Equipment Manufacturer) logo screen is displayed, press the ESC key to see the
boot up information.
